This is a manuscript history of Civil War events in Paducah, Kentucky, compiled by Mrs. David Gamble Murrell, with the assistance of J. V. Grief, for the United Daughters of the Confederacy of Kentucky. The purpose of the history was to record information about the formation of the first Confederate company in Kentucky, companies and men who enlisted from McCracken County, local incidents, and local engagements.
